The feeder terminal unit (FTU) is a critical component of any electric power system that works in complex electromagnetic environment. However, innovative research theoretical analysis electromagnetic–thermal practices inside the FTU missing literature. This work presents methodologies for calculating and analyzing influence FTUs high-power (HPEM) numerical outcomes reveal surface connecting cables under powerful pulses (EMP) induce significant fields high temperatures.
